Match Workflow
Some imports may have a “match” button in addition to a “fix” button. The match button indicates that you have submitted products that may already exist in our product catalog and database. These products could be duplicates. The match workflow walks you through the steps to reconcile these possible duplicates.
You cannot move a product to the Fix Workflow until you complete the Match step
Follow the steps to confirm if:
- Yes, it is a duplicate and, in some instances, there are many duplicates
- No - None of these are a match - it is truly “new”
- If there is a duplicate, what is the best “match” for your product?
- Click the Match button to get started
- In the next screen, products with possible matches are listed along the left side
- In each square, a counter shows how many potential duplicates were found
- Click the box to select a style to review
- The possible duplicates are displayed in the panel on the right
- The style you are reviewing is displayed at the top of the panel in the “Imported” section
- The “Results” section below displays all possible duplicates
- When choosing a match, there are 2 options. The first set of options are an exact product match. Click the circle to select the best match.
- If there is more than one duplicate to choose from, pick the option with the most recent event date
- If no match is found from the first set of options, the second set of options is listed below
- In this case, the style already exists in a different size. A new product, or “size”, will be added to the existing style
In the example below, the Style is already in the catalog in size S, the new product size M will be added to that existing style
- Once a match is selected, click Save & Next
- Next, a confirmation screen will appear
- Click confirm to finish matching the product
- If none of the displayed options are a match, choose the option to Mark as New
- Next, a confirmation screen will appear
- Click confirm to finish creating the new style
- If you click out of the working panel before saving your changes, a warning message appears
- Click Cancel to continue working, or select “I want to leave without saving” to exit the workflow
- If there is a product you don’t want to add to the catalog, click Exclude at the bottom of the screen
- This action removes the product from the workflow, and will not bring that product into the catalog
- Next, a confirmation screen will appear
- Click Confirm to complete the process of excluding the product
- A colored tag will appear on each product after an action has been completed
- Once each product has been reconciled, Products Ready to Import displays in the work panel
- Click Finish to complete the Match workflow, and move on to the Fix workflow
- A confirmation message will appear showing a total of the products to be imported
- Click cancel to stop the import, or Confirm to complete the import
- Finally, a screen will appear confirming the success of the Import
- Click the button to continue onto the Fix workflow
NOTE: If the Match button still shows on the POP! landing page after reconciling every product, return to the Match screen, and click Finish.
The Match workflow is only complete once Finish is clicked then confirmed
